Dr. Krzysztof Cichocki MBBS FRACGP

Dr Krzysztof Cichocki, or simply Dr Krys, operates the Solaris Skin Cancer Clinic which opened at Mooloolaba in June 2009. To acquire new skills and knowledge while keeping abreast of advances in treatments he regularly attends professional courses and conferences relating to skin cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment including:

• A dermoscopy course (Austria)
• International congresses (Holland, Turkey)
• 13th World Congress on Cancers of the Skin (Spain)
• A head and neck surgery workshop (Australia)
• Diploma of Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine (Australia)

As the principal doctor at Solaris Skin Cancer Clinic, Dr Krys is able to offer whole body skin examinations to check lumps, bumps, ulcers and skin lesions. If treatment is required, he is able to remove skin cancers, such as Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Melanoma at the clinic.

He is skilled in treating cancers in difficult areas such as nose, ears, lower leg, lips, scalp, eyebrows, and fingers. At Solaris Skin Cancer Clinic Dr Krys can tailor treatment to his patients individual needs which may include surgical, or non-surgical methods such as Metvix PDT. The surgical treatments he is able to perfrom insitu at Solaris Skin Cancer Clinic range from simple excisions to more complicated procedures, including skin flaps and skin grafts.
